Technical Director(Solid State Lighting)

Primary challenging responsibilities include but not limited to: A self starter, a key member of the project start-up team and management team. A technological driver to steer the direction of technology, product and solution in line with company's mission and to give consultative advice to the Board for Technology usage through competitive analysis. Interact with crystal vendor(s) and qualification. In the 1st phase, work closely with the project start-up team and to support setting up the manufacturing facilities (start up with 2 inches wafer) which will be located along the Pearl Delta River. Collect company data, intellectual property, compile and apply for patent. In the 2nd phase (after start up), develop fabrication process leading to high yield and high luminous epi growth. Lead an in house Research & Development team, working in close collaborations with Government Research Institutes, Top-tier Universities and key customers through Win-Win approach for New Product Development. Your Profile: Ambitious with strong passion to succeed! Persistent with all new challenges of this high technology start up, of adventure and has strong aspirations to share the great success with the stake holders including yourself! Resourceful, hands on, a problem solver with the capability to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical issues. A good team leader, a good team player, envisioning with good technical writing skills and presentation skills. Over 10 years solid experience in bulk crystal Silicon Carbide or Sapphire growth and wafer fabrication environment with some solid experiences in development of Pattern Sapphire Substrate (EPI-polished/ready). Some work experiences in Nitride-on-Sapphire epitaxial layer growth through MOCVD. Hands on experience in characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, EDS, AFM...etc. Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills. Ph.D. in Physics, Micro electronics, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering. Fluent English and Putonghua. The job holder will be posted to China South.
